Debating Society
Debating has a long and successful tradition at the Glasgow Academy.
The Debating Society is pupil-run but supervised by Ms Black in the History Department. Debates usually take place every Thursday lunchtime on a variety of topics which have been suggested by pupils. All year groups are welcome to attend, participate or speak and a lively and humorous atmosphere is always present. No previous experience of debating is required and the basic rules are simple to understand. Come along and learn how you can always win your arguments!
