Revised Proposals for Anniesland Sporting Campus
In 2023, The Glasgow Academy brought forward proposals for the redevelopment of its Anniesland Sporting Campus and subsequently submitted a planning application. We would like to thank everyone from the school and local community who took the time to attend consultation events, review the proposals and provide feedback throughout that process. Your comments and insights have been invaluable in helping to shape our future plans.
Since then, The Academy has undertaken a comprehensive review of its long-term estate strategy to ensure future investment across its campuses aligns with its educational objectives, sustainability ambitions and wider community commitments.
As a result of this review, the previous planning application has been withdrawn and revised proposals are now being developed for the Anniesland Sporting Campus.
A Proposal of Application Notice (PAN) has been submitted to Glasgow City Council, marking the beginning of a new programme of pre-application public consultation.
The revised proposals seek to future-proof the Anniesland sporting campus, ensuring it remains a safe, sustainable and high-quality sporting environment that can continue to serve pupils, staff and the wider local community for generations to come.
We now invite you to learn more about the emerging proposals and share your views at our upcoming first public consultation event.
