Children 1st chq presentation
Support & Fundraising / Friday, October 7, 2016 Summer Ball presentation to Children 1st

On Saturday 18 June, the Crowne Plaza Hotel on Glasgow's bustling riverside was the venue for the Glasgow Academy Summer Ball - an evening of fun, glamour and great music, while also raising funds for Children 1st - Scotland's national children's charity - and the Cargill Hall refurbishment project.

Master-of-ceremonies, David Farrell, kept the evening on schedule and Antiques Roadshow's Natasha Raskin wielded her gavel in expert fashion raising a terrific sum from the collection of lots, with the Irn Bru liveried bike donated by A G Barr proving to be the hottest lot of the night!  With live music by all-girl tribute group, FEEVA, guests danced through the decades into the wee small hours.

The event raised £20,000 overall and members of the Ball Committee were delighted to present a cheque to Children 1st's Regan Johnson to help the charity continue their vital support in our local community.
