Co-curricular

Conservation and Wildlife Society (CaWS) is a group led by Dr Mann from the Biology Department. CaWS members are enthusiastic, compassionate and strong-willed young people who really care about nature and wildlife. They think it is crucial to conserve our natural places and the animals and plants that live within them.

CaWS members go on outings in which they get the opportunity to encounter animals and plants. They also take part in outdoor conservation projects with the RSPB and other organisations. Indoor meetings include presentations and discussions about conservation and wildlife-related topics. They are eager to develop and maintain an interactive digital forum for posting and sharing ideas about conservation and sustainability. They are also interested in campaigning for appropriate environmental causes, to petition for change.
