Welcome to The Glasgow Academy Preparatory School where every child is celebrated for their individuality!

We recognise the importance of academic attainment but we also support children in achieving success in a vast array of different activities such as practising and playing musical instruments, enjoying different sports and participating in drama and concerts. We give every child the opportunity to try new experiences that will fire their imaginations and build their confidence and life skills.

I would like this introduction to give you an insight into the Prep School, its pupils and staff, the opportunities we offer and the values we look to uphold across our three sites. I am extremely proud of the children and their confidence, politeness, enthusiasm and resilience embody the ideals that we hold dear in our school.

Not only do our children receive the highest quality academic education, we also teach them to be respectful and caring of others and an understanding of our 'can do, will do' approach to life. We want to enrich children both in their curricular experiences and those outside the classroom over a diverse range of activities. We focus on developing children's critical thinking and problem solving abilities, thus giving them the skills to thrive in the years ahead.

Our curriculum is stimulating and challenging, rich and varied in nature, offering an excellent foundation in the core of Literacy, Maths, Social Studies and Science alongside specialist teaching in Art, Music, Modern Languages, PE and Sport.

As a Level Two Rights Respecting school, our ethos of care and respect for all is central to everything we do and allows us to enjoy diversity and celebrate the children's achievements, great or small. We strongly believe all children deserve to learn in an environment that is welcoming, nurturing, encouraging and supportive; something I believe we do very well here at The Glasgow Academy.

Do come and visit us to see all we have to offer.
