A Gift in your Will

Gifts in former pupils' Wills make an enormous impact on the lives of children who attend the school.  As a school, The Academy is very clear on its primary goal to maximise children's learning and wellbeing.  Learning happens in the classroom, on the sports field, the parade ground and in the music room and all of it is plays a part in helping challenge pupils to grow into rounded individuals that will build our society.

It is remarkably easy to include The Academy in your Will and even a gift of 1% of your estate makes a huge difference.

How you wish your gift to be used is entirely up to you – you may wish to help children from low income backgrounds attend the school, enable the creation of new facilities or support sport, the arts or co-curricular life.

You do not need to inform the school of your decision, although it can be helpful to ensure the school will be able to use the gift as you wish, if the school is aware of it in advance.

If you would like to know more about leaving a gift in your Will to The Glasgow Academy, please contact Jillian Fletcher on 0141 342 5494 or at exrel@tga.org.uk

If your lawyer has requested specific wording for how the school should be noted, please pass on ‘The Glasgow Academicals War Memorial Trust (SCO 15638)’.  Thank you very much.
