The First World War Roll of Honour

From the onset of the First World War in 1914 until the end in 1918, The Glasgow Academy suffered a great many losses during the conflict. It has been stated that The Academy suffered the highest casualties amongst all independent schools at the time.

The following is a list of the former pupils who were casualties and as far as we have been able to, includes information and photographs to tell the stories of these men. It lists 317 young men who died in action or in service.

WW1 Roll of Honour

In some case, we have little or no information about some of these individuals, so please do get in touch if you have anything which could help us fill in the gaps and help us tell their stories.
