The Glasgow Academy is running coaching courses during the summer holidays for young and enthusiastic cricketers. The courses are delivered by former fast bowler Hari Hariharan and provide an exciting environment to learn, enjoy and develop cricketing skills under expert tuition.
The courses will take place at The Glasgow Academy sports hall. Several facilities will be used to provide the best possible environment for learning and developing cricket skills and knowledge. This will include our sports hall, which offers four high quality net areas and the option of splitting into three large open working areas, a smaller gym which provides an ideal venue for more intense technical work in small groups.
Boys and girls from all local schools are welcome to attend these courses. Both novice and experienced cricketers will find the courses valuable. All specialist equipment will be provided to use on the courses. The only requirement will be to wear appropriate cricket/leisure clothing and non-marking indoor trainers.
Coaching for more experienced young cricketers (13 to 18 years) over the summer holidays. The courses will take place at the school sports hall. There will be sessions related to developing and improving batting skills where a bowling machine will be used. There will also be video analysis of batting and bowling.
