Outdoor Education / Friday, November 22, 2019 Success at ClimbScotland Finals
Congratulations to Jack McCamley-Wilding (S6), who came second in the ClimbScotland Fun Competition Finals in Aberdeen and brought home the Team Cup for The Academy.

The annual Scottish inter-schools climbing competition features a large number of pupils from across the country with numerous climbing squads training hard at every climbing wall from almost every school in Scotland.

Jack’s chosen discipline is bouldering, which entails navigating short, brutally steep problems without a climbing rope.

The competition requires fitness, skill, endurance and control over fear.

Jack got full marks on each of the problems on his first attempt. Well done, Jack!
