Kelvinbridge / Tuesday, May 31, 2016 Helping to send my friend to school!

As part of The Academy's global citizenship education, our P3 pupils have been taking part in a project to champion the rights of children who do not have access to education.

They invited Patrick Grady, MP - who represents his party on international development at Westminster - to come in and hear about the work they have been doing learning about children in other countries who are denied education.

The children have been making miniature rucksacks filled with the kinds of things that they think all children around the world should have. Mr Grady has promised to make the Government aware of the work that the P3s have been doing to highlight the problem.
