The Glasgow Academy is one of five schools selected to showcase their projects at The Big Bang UK Young Scientists & Engineers Fair Finals to be held in the NEC Birmingham in March 2020.
This results from the success of The Glasgow Academy in the Young Engineers and Science Clubs (YESC) Scotland: pH Challenge 2019, held in partnership with the Royal Society of Chemistry.
Around 500 pupils, teachers and companies from all over Scotland attended the exciting finals of the competition. Bravo, Marcus Chorn, Reece Hamilton and Andrew Brewer, who designed a filtration system for rivers and lochs to test for acidity and alkalinity (pH)!
Congratulations also go to Kyle Sockalingum, Mandy Chan (pictured) and Sophie Li who won ‘Best Engineered Robot’, receiving medals and a trophy, at the Rampaging Chariots Robotic Games held at the Leonardo facility in Edinburgh.
What an exciting weekend of Engineering activities!
