Digital Schools Award: Special Recognition Badge for Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety
The Glasgow Academy Preparatory School has become the 28th School in the UK to receive the Digital School Cyber Resilience and Internet Safety Award. This national award is available to all schools that demonstrate a strategic approach to cyber resilience and internet safety. Schools are assessed on the following criteria: leadership and vision, digital teaching and learning, school culture and professional development.
Digital Schools validator, Jennifer McKay, assessed us once again, having already awarded us with our first Digital Schools Award in May 2019. Yesterday’s virtual validation involved observing various live lessons as well as meeting with the Upper Prep Digital Leaders and members of the staff eLearning working group.
The Upper Prep Digital Leaders were able to talk confidently about their role in the committee and the different plans they have for the future of digital learning at The Academy, while the Lower Prep Digital Leaders shared a video giving her an insight into our plans for celebrating Safer Internet Day this year.
