Responsibility

Sixth Year students are encouraged to study independently, develop team work, acquire management skills and relate to staff in a more informal way. In an attempt to give everyone the opportunity to meet these aims, there are many duties delegated to members of the Sixth Year.

Our Sixth Year, some of whom may be Prefects others may have responsibilities with in our House structure, play an invaluable roll in setting the tone for the whole school. Thanks to their good example standards of behaviour are high and we encourage all pupils to look smart, to behave responsibly towards others and to look after their environment.

If you visit The Academy in term time, it is likely that you will be shown round by members of our Sixth Year.
