Thank you
We would like to thank all benefactors who have supported our 2009-2010 appeal. Most donors continue to choose to make a gift to 'Whatever the Academy Needs' and Bursaries although there were a small number of significant donations to rowing and the Pipe Band.
On target
Our target for the 2009-2010 appeal was £27,500 for specific projects as well as an open appeal for support for Bursaries and 'Whatever the Academy Needs Most'. A fantastic total of £78,685 (including gift aid) was raised through Regular Giving donations between 1 October 2009 and 30 September 2010. A further donation from the Cargill Ball means that the total was well over £91,000 for the year.
Regular Giving Results
Achieving our target for 2009-2010 means the school has been able to purchase a new rowing boat and kayak canoes for outdoor education as well as prepare and schedule for the resurfacing of the jump pits at Anniesland. New instruments and uniforms have been bought for the Pipe Band - with thanks to John Watson OBE (1965) - and Regular Giving has also been able to make a substantial contribution to Bursaries and preparations for developing the two tenements the school now owns on Colebrooke Street and Colebrooke Place.
2010-2011
This year's Regular Giving brochure will focus on Bursaries because many Academy families need help with fees in the current downturn. We would also be delighted to receive support for the following projects:
- Sport Performance Software
- Benches on Colebrooke Terrace
- A coxless pair rowing boat

Thank you
Thank you again to all who have contributed to the success of the 2009-'10 appeal. Should you have any queries about Regular Giving or wish to discuss a donation to this year's appeal please don't hesitate to get in touch.
Best wishes
