Welcome to The Glasgow Academy Nursery - Kelvinbridge

The Glasgow Academy Kelvinbridge Nursery is an extension to the existing quality care service the school has to offer in Pre-Primary and After School Care provision at Kelvinbridge.

The nursery offers a flexible service to parents of nursery children aged between 3 and 4 years of age.  The children can then move into Pre-Primary for their pre-school year aged 4-5 years of age.  The nursery is open  for a longer day than the normal school and we are also open in the holiday periods.   When the children move up to Pre-Primary they can still attend
8 am - 6 pm when they come along to our After School Care service, which is open for breakfast club, after school care and holiday clubs.

The children are in one area for their nursery year and then move into a new area for their pre-primary year.

The nursery ethos is very much learning through active play.  The children are involved in choosing their daily activities, what they would like for snacks and the themes they want to learn about e.g. this week it is pets and vets.

The children have access to outside play on a daily basis.  They also move around the school community, taking physical activities in the After School Care area and lunch in the school dining hall.

The nursery is in partnership with Glasgow City Council, therefore pre-school funded places are available.  You should pay your monthly invoices as normal and three times a year when the funding is received by the school the funding amounts are refunded to you.
