The Glasgow Academy Saunders Centre last night won the RIAS Andrew Doolan Best Building in Scotland Award 2016, the UK's richest architectural prize.
The 25,000 GBP award was presented by Scotland's Culture secretary, Fiona Hyslop, to the architects Page\Park in the National Museum of Scotland.
Page\Park commented: 'It's been a team effort between Page\Park and The Academy. Few clients let us do a masterplan, consult and design, and then create all the interiors and graphics in the way that The Academy has done. It's great to be allowed to do the whole project.'
